Who What Wear
Madame Noire
Keep it (business) casual. Keep it cute. Gray is a sure bet to go with anything your closet dishes out. Take for instance this peach-colored blouse Jesi has on. It’s not her exact skin tone but the proximity to it compliments her natural coloring.

Blazing blazers Batman! That’s one snazzy ‘fit. Have you ever put on a gorgeous ‘fit only to find out that it lacks color? Just add a colorful blazer and you’re set to go! Who cares if the shade doesn’t match with your other pieces, you’ll still look great!
Also, if you ever outgrow your clothing or think the length is a little to short for your current function, don on a pair of tights. Make it fun by purchasing a pair of lacey ones like these. And who said you couldn’t wear white after labor day?

There’s nothing better than a tailored blazer, well except for a tailored academy blazer with a nice trim.

This haircut! A nicely combed coif is not always required but when you have one it’s duly noted.
Also, who needs Ray Bans when you can have a better look-alike for way cheaper? Looking casually dapper is the best way to beat the heat during this time of the year. Not to mention that this bike is the best accessory I have seen to date.

…. Don’t know what else to say. I’m kinda speechless right now. It’s the perfect wedge. The perfect shoe. The perfect accessory. What can’t this shoe do?!

I usually put two and two together but this sweater deserved a post all on its own. Just look at it. If shawls and Pendleton sweaters got together, this would be their baby. Dad’s good looks (Pendleton) and Mom’s sense of frugal shopping (inexpensive shawl).

Adorned with such radiance, this chunky necklace is the great way to play up your decolletage. So next time your at your fave store in the accessory section, take a risk and try one on for size. The bigger the fashion risk, the greater the reward.

Black and yellow, black and yellow. Ok, maybe the necklace is more like black and gold but who’s gonna hold that against me? Yellow, gold, metal, gold-plated silver, whatever it is, I love it. However, I will say I do love her slightly off-the-shoulder blouse with the lace cutouts even more. C’est vraiment magnifique!

Yes! Boy, am I happy to see that some people did not let the brief merger between Missoni and Target go to waste. These suede pumps are sure to keep your wallet plump. Although they look like a million bucks, they’re actually less than forty. Can you say deal?!

There is just so much I love about this ‘fit. It’s casual but nowhere near shlump, which in my opinion, many seem to blur the fine line between the two. This girl knows what colors work for her and in this case it’s pastel pink. Also, smart choice in not using nude leggings. Although her skin tone is brown, she opted for darker hued bottoms to balance out her ‘fit.

So glad that I can officially say that the invasion of the hair feathers is over. I’m seeing more and more of those same feathers on ear lobes this year. Perfect light weight accessory that will not leave your ears in pain by the end of the day.

I believe that this is a sure fire example where things do indeed get better with age. Men, men, men, just because you may be slowly losing a few years does not mean your fashion sense has to go too. Look at this double-breasted pea coat. If you have at least one quality coat in your closet, you’re set.

Just because it’s winter time does not mean you have to layer up in bulky and uncomfortable jackets. Case in point. This man decided to don a nice stiff-collar jacket that overlays his striped tee. Goes to show it’s true when they say, there is no such thing as bad weather just only bad clothing

Placed in the heart of downtown Portland, Oregon, Michael Allen’s clothier is anything but your traditional menswear boutique. Over 30 years of detail, measuring, and stitching have gone into this shop to make it what it is today. Owned and run by Michael Allen Fredrickson himself, the store has accumulated a number of clientele but still remains extremely personal and hospitable. There is a a certain craft to his work that is shown in every piece shown and sold. However, it can only be seen if you take a trip down to 9th street and experience it for yourself.

Ever since I saw the Steve Mcqueen’s line of Barbour bags at Fashion’s Night Out I have been itching to visit the store that sells it.
So guess what I did today? Thank you to the kind people at Michael Allen’s Clothier, I was able to get some in-store photos of not just the Steve McQeen line, but everything! From pocket squares to wing tips and fitted trouser to cuff links.
What an amazing day it was. I was especially blessed to meet Michael Allen himself. Can’t wait to start posting later.
Until then, TFM out.
