Head scarfs are an extremely overlooked accessory. Hopefully we’ll see more of them this year. Moving on down, this yellow is just amaze!! Ladies, don’t be afraid of a little color. Better yet, don’t be afraid of a lot of color. Go big and bold like this woman here. However, if you do decide to go with something this bold and don’t know what to wear it with, a dark wash bottom is always your best bet. It actually helps to slim down your figure by using light and dark to trick the eyes.

Bundled beauty. While roaming around in the cold of New York City there is no reason for you to look like the crazy bag lady with all the layers and ill-fitting clothing. Take a cue from this girl here and layer strategically. A thick scarf can do wonders in terms of looks and keeping warm. And just in case it gets too hot, you can unzip that cute jacket and wear it open.
As for the bag, the graffiti print is so unique. A nice pop of color don’t ya think?

The jeans! The jeans! The jeans! I love the jeans! If skinny jeans and bell bottoms had a baby it would result to this. Perfectly paired with a pair of stilleto pumps, this look doesn’t make her legs look frumpy or too short. Also, can we just look at this thick and lovely scarf? Purchased at H&M, it’s the perfect way to stay toasty during these cold times.

Ok, I might have to eat my words on this one. I may have implied in an earlier post that one should veer away from all black buuuut, who really sticks to the rules anyway? There is just so much going on here and that’s what makes this ‘fit so much fun. There’s the texture of the fur (hopefully faux) jacket, the sheer tights, a felt floppy hat, and those butter soft booties. It’s one thing to look good but to literally feel it too?!

Cute as a posy. So casual but so demure. I’m tellin’ ya, add a scarf to anything and you’ve got something. Imagine this sweater and sandal combo sans scarf - crazy tongue twister much?! - and it just wouldn’t look as polished. Next time your speeding out the house and want to play up your ‘fit just add scarf and voila!

I’m seeing a lot of these around and I love it. It gives a new use to the scarfs that are too short to be tied around the neck.

If you don’t like bunching your scarf or just looking for another way to wear it, wear it the long way. Not only will it elongate the body but it covers up the the problem stomach areas.

Add a long necklace to a plain or printed scarf (This can go for men who wear scarfs too).

Don’t be afraid to wear more colors. Besides all black or white, monochromatic is last season.
